Since we left immediately for our honeymoon, we had a member of our family freeze our cake while it was still fresh. Our cake was wrapped in plastic, placed in a cake box provided by our baker and then the box was wrapped again with plastic. To unthaw it, we removed the plastic from the box and cake in the morning. Later on in the evening, we removed the cake from the refrigerator and left at room temperature for a few hours. Our cake had no freezer burns and tasted just as fresh as the day it was made.

I took it out of the freezer about 2 days before and let it defrost in the fridge. Then I took it out of the fridge about 2 hours before I was going to eat it...or you could just eat it out of the fridge...it will be colder that way

Be prepared for the cake to taste bad. The icing on mine was good, but the cake was horrible.

We took ours out of the freezer for the day. BUT it is really bad! It does NOT taste like it did on your wedding day! I hope yours works better then ours did!

Refrigerate for 2 days before. Take the traditional bite then lots of champagne to chase it. It'll taste bad
