"AAA" = Anti-Aircraft Artillery
"Gun" = Meaning they were equipped with at least 40mm weapons (as opposed to "MG" which would be .50 caliber quad-mount MG's)
"BN" = Battalion -about 1500 men
Apparently, it was stationed in Australia during the War.
