would it be passible, using your color scheme to paint the entire wall the same color on both sides. if you paint it the living room color, it will be an accent wall for the kitchen; if you paint it the kitchen color, it will be an accent wall for the living room. I have an arch similar to yours between my kitchen and dining room. After trying to paint the arch different on both sides, i finally gave up and painted the entire wall both sides. the kitchen is golden tan colored and the dining room is light chestnut. I painted both sides of the arch wall a bold terra cotta color using a stucco textured paint, and it acts as a feature wall in both rooms. I painted all the trim and baseboards a dark chocolate brown in both rooms to unite the spaces. You could also bring the color from one room thru the arch and about 4 or 5 inches over the arch's edges into the other room forming a border of color around the arch.

Don't include the archway as part of the kitchen paint job. Just paint the flat surface that faces into the kitchen. It's fine for an archway to have different paint than either of the two rooms it connects.

Starting at one side of the arch, and splitting the immaginary corner, use 3M blue painters tape to mask off the line. after tape is in place, run the back of a butter knife across the edge to insure paint dosen't run under tape. Then paint as normal. When paint is satisfactory, remove tape at 45 degree angle, slowly and carefully. Touch up minor imperfections.

I would paint the rounded archway white, then from either side it will look fine.

I had the same issue with my kitchen and family room combo. We used Kelly Moore paint color Cafe Au Lait and it looks nice. It's a neutral beige color that is pretty and blends in nicely.

I personally would not paint inside the arch... I'd leave the inside of it alone... and just paint the wall area of the kitchen.

DONT PAINT THE INNER PART OF THE ARCH ANY COLOUR OTHER THAN A WHITE.THIS WILL BREAK THE COLOUR SCHEME UP AND ADD INTEREST. OTHERWISE YOU'LL END UP WITH IT ALL LOOKING TO MUCH - LESS IS MORE IN THIS CASE GOOD LUCK
