Why arent muslim men required to control themself?

Whenever one talks to muslims about the subject of women covering themselves they say it is for the protection of women.

I live in the USA and as you know most women do not run around in black sheets. Yet I dont see muslim men going so out of control that they attacking every woman showing her hair. Is that something they just do in muslims countries?

Muslims say they respect women above all. If so, why will the mere sight of a womans hair send them into a destructive sexual frenzy. Can anyone explain this to me?

I am a woman. If a man looks at me and I dont know what do I care. If he is rude put in his place.

If rape were a result of a woman displaying herself, why do men and women get raped? Why do children get raped? Why do old women beyond thier prime get raped. Rape is not about a woman, its about a man who can't control himself and wants to show power.

So again, why arent muslim men required to control themselves?

I am Muslim woman and i will tell you what the Muslim man wants to say...it is not the problem of Muslim men or non Muslim...it is the problem of all men...not all men like you seeing girls OK wearing whatever they want but lets look at the other side the men who look at every single piece of woman body make them UN controlled and the woman may be raped...so Allah protect woman from being raped from these men...it is not the problem of control of Muslim...may be this Muslim is a good man but there is Muslims and non Muslims are not good...they don't respect Allah's word and this woman so he can do whatever he want to her so like that Allah wants them to respect the woman and Allah order the hejab for protecting the woman...and last question not all Muslim respect the Quran like not all Christians respect the bible...and i think in USA there is many situation of raping a woman may be also this is a good answer

you are living in the most place that all the additional you said happens and these people are non Muslims...a father who raped his daughter...many woman has been raped..there are many many single mothers there, go and ask them why did they do that?? don't look because of the hijab so the Muslim man must be like that when there are many non Muslims do that

Dress has nothing to do with protecting women from dangers.Of course a completely covered up woman may not be that attractive than a western style dressed woman.
In all muslim countries except in Turkey it is compulsory for women to wear the garb.You must remember all these rules are made by man.At the same time here men can have as many wives as possible and he can divorce a woman just by uttering the word "Talaq" three times.
All these rules and regulations were made several centuries ago by religious hypocrites.All religions are very orthodox and they do not change these rules or allow modernism to creep in.It is barbaric to subject women to such cruel treatment.In hot countries it is so suffocating to wear such dress covering even the face.How strange are the ways in different religions impose code conduct for its followers

Muslim men's reactions are NOT by any chance good in Islam's guidelines. They are supposed to control themselves and try to educate those who dont know the meaning of why women need to cover themselves without resorting to violence. those who dont are not very tolerant as the religion says they should be. Women cover themselves in order to protect themselves from men who are bad. Also, this is so women are not judged by their looks, but by their personality and ingenuity.

The hijab is not to make men control themselves. IT is for modesty of women. Men also have a dress code to instil modesty. We wear hijab to protect our beauty, to show ourselves only to people who we chose to show ourselves to. Islam teaches women we are not sexual objects. We have opinions and we have a purpose in our lives other than being eye candy for men.

Good question. It would make a lot of sense to ask men to respect women even when they are very beautiful.

However, many women do not feel like making a big deal about it. They say that they even like their dress code.

Rape is an act of war. Perfectlly acceptable.
this is not all middle eastern men, as we have many in this area who are as American as Apple pie. They treat their wives good.

I don't know. But considering if their sister or daughter is raped, they must be murdered to protect the honour of the family, it seems necessary to keep these laws in place to protect the women..

According to what I've studied about Islam, BOTH men and women are supposed to control themselves, with their eyes, their voices, etc. Hijab is twofold... exterior and interior.

i will tell u why coz i think i m the must one who know the anser coz i was muslim befor and now i m not coz the helpping off some one i love her so much and they dont respect them selefes coz its not alwed to see the woman body in islam and all of them like to see the woman body and even make love with her coz they dont really bilive in islam in reall and really i feel beter now coz im christine and plz forgive me coz i m not good in english and thx for all
