Set apart from the general population by certain clothes and called rabbi, father, decon, or revrened.
Wouldn't those titles be condemed by God? Bringing honor to a human? Or in the case of clerics asking us to do something we feel god wouldn't want us to do. Can they have the power to do that or should they?

If your preacher asks you to do something you feel isn't right, call him on it. They only have power if YOU let them. In most cases, its a good thing to have a clergy who have actually been trained to help with religious questions, butonly if they've actually gone to university and taken the correct courses, not like some of the 'preachers' that are talking today, with absolutely no formal learning at all, other than they attended a so-called bible college.

I guess if you believe that God condemns clergy that would make sense. But God condemns no one so my minister is safe :)
