I'm currently running windows xp (home edition) and i'm thinking of upgrading to vista.. is there anything i should know about vista before doing this? are there any huge differences between xp and vista? any info on vista would be helpful!

I wouldn't do it. I just spent 18 hours in hell trying to update my 3 month old PC, that supposedly met all the specs. Lost everything on my HD fortunetly I backed up. Just a real mess, I don't know what they were thinking.

wait, there is more to going to vista than just installing it overtop XP, you have to have at least a gig of RAM and a good video card, and more. see they got I rigged to where it would cost more to get the junk for your computer than It would to buy a computer with VISTA already on it. I would stay with XP.

It's clearly better to upgrade to Vista...however you might want to wait a couple of months so they will get rid of the major bugs and other small issues.

keep xp vista is just a well i suppose they think its prettied up version of xp

your better going to xp pro
vista still have some security issues eventhough it has been improved
plus unless your system is really beefy, vista will bog your system down with it's steep sytem requirements
