Unfortunately, most of us remember the bad more than the good. When good things happen to you in the present and future, make it a point to write them down. Then when you think "nothing good happens to me" you'll have a journal to reflect on, and you'll know your negative focus at the time isn't true or realistic.
Good luck.

Maybe you have a hard time of moving on? What I would do is start a journal, or a diary, and each night right down a positive thing that happened. Forget about the negative things and focus on the good things.

no, you are a pretty typical person. we are all addicted to negative thinking because of the way we were raised. there is a wonderful book called There is Nothing Wrong with You. Go to the library and pick it up. Attitude is the only thing we can really control, so it's worth working on, but it is a long, hard battle.
good luck.

No there is nothing wrong with you... Our brains work funny sometimes... I know mine does when it comes to remember certain things... I find that sometimes if you think about trying to remember something it will usually take you longer to figure out your answer... Let your life go by normally and Im sure that when you least expect it you will remember ... Give it time

hmm Have you ever thought of your birthday and other celebrations . It would be very hard for me to belive that you can only remember bad things because the human brain has a large capacity try to listen to so happy music and then see if you can remember anything

well it sounds to me that youre pretty depressed, youre stopping yourself from believing that good things happend in your life. you dont deny that they happend, but youre stopping yourself from remembering how they happend maybe youre expecting something to happen and are thinking of the worse so that when it comes out it wasnt as bad as it seems, your negative thinking is blocking your mind from the positive, i suggest you get a pen and paper and write down everything you can remember that makes you happy, anything, even if its "first paycheck" or "lost 2 pounds" anything, it'll come back to you.

I'm the same way. I'm not sure how many people are this way but it's not good thats for sure. I'll catch myself ruminating in detail about negative things that happened 10 years ago & getting upset til I tell my brain...Whoa! Cut it out! Everythings fine now. Chill.

Not at all. I'm the same way you are, and I've started a great career, did well in school, have lots of friends, etc.
