I recently seen a question on here asking if a stutter is covered by "SSI"(Social Security Insurance).Yes a stutter is covered but a stutter will have to go through alot of "Goverment Red Tape" to get it.A stutter is considered under the law as a PERSON WITH DISABILTIES and yes you can get free help.My best friend stutters and I have helped him through the process. Stuttering is a communitive disorder. If a person has a communitive disorder then you are entitled to benifits. You can go to your local -Vocational Rehap- to get the process started.Though the process does take about 7 months to a year but it will get done. What did my friend recieve? He got the "Speech Easy" device, which would cost 6 thousand dollars,he got it for free.He also got a year of speech therapy for free.Which most speech therapist charge an average of 300 dollars an hour.If you cannot get the job of your choice, then they send you to school so you can,FOR FREE!Any other questions on this? Email me. Hope this helps.
