I always thought Valentine was a silly gimmick also to rake money out of lovebirds with no sense over money.
Also when I was a young child growing up I was always single but I'd still get a card from my mum who would get the man from the local newsagent to write in it for her becasue I knew her writing. haha Bless my mum.
I always hated Valentine because I'd see some people feeling depressed thinking that they were unloved but that's bollocks!
My best valentines day was going out with a group of single friends and having a good laugh.
In Finland, Valentine's Day is called Ystävänpäivä which translates into "Friend's day". As the name says, this day is more about remembering your friends than your loved ones.
Don't mope and just get a group of your mates together and have a good laugh! Forget those face sucking lovebirds out there spending a silly fortune!

Yes I will be single for Valentines day this year :-( I don't normally get any cards either. It is quite depressing when you are going round the shops and keep seeing cards and teddy bears etc. Normally I would be buying things like that and planning something special. This year will be a day at work and an evening alone :-(
Company would be very nice. Give me a call.

Ye single for Valentines too, but at least im workin valentines night so i wont feel so bad, Hopefully.

Yes, me, but, wronge gende...I know how you feel, I was just thinking of the same thing that Valentine's Day is around the corner, and have noone that I really want to spend that special day with. Have guy friends, but, none of which I want to waste my time on, I would rather, stay at home and watch t.v., than let any guy, since I'm not in a relationship now, know that I don't alrerady have plans, even though they probably will ask me to do something, it's a little late now to be asking..so, I'll just act like I do, and not answer the phone or door...I guess, I'm just a little too proud to admit I don't have that special someone when I really would love to have them....I've been divorced 17 years now, kids in college, and in my early 40's, and still look younger and act younger, but, I do have my pride...which, I guess as writing this, sometimes you have to swallow your pride, but, on this day especially...no thanks, I'm sticking with I already have plans...because, even my guy friends that like me, arn't the one's I will settle for, nor want to settle for...I havn't settled yet, so not willing to now...but, here is an idea for you, if you don't have or find that special someone, go out with your single girl friends, and have fun..there are alot more people out there like us, than you think, wanting and wishing for someone, and you never know, you just might them on Valentine's Day, which to me would be soo romantic...good luck..

I will be glad when V-day is here and gone.Im single and am thinking about hiding from everyone in a hotel somewhere.Id rather be alone than see all the couples together.Company and/or conversation might change my mind.I really wish I could find someone.It just seems like here in Indiana,plan on being alone.Come on Feb. 15th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeppers third valentines day in a row......but oh well I consider it a vacation where I am becoming a better person to be for the next woman that God blesses me to be with....feel free to stop by on my 360 page,and say hi if you want you can never have too many friends...besides you never know!

yep single for valentines, i shall buy myself some flowers and leave them on my doorstep the night before and act all surprised when i open the door the next morning....lol lol
