Does anyone know of a web site where I can see how bad my eyes are? I had an eye exam the other day and my mother has told me that she is considered legally blind in her left eye. Both of my eyes are worse than her left eye and I want to see if this is really considered legally blind. My Prescription is -250-075x165 in one eye and -275-050x025/+1.00 in the other. Does anyone know how bad this is or know of a website that can tell me? Thank You

You need to see a specialist and have her examine your eyes. I would suggest an ophthalmologist if you have a history of eye diseases in your family. She will be able to not only test your vision but see if you have any other vision problems such as cataract, glaucoma, astigmatism etc. A regular optometrist simply does not have the same expertise as a specialist. There are no places on the net that can check you so don't waste your time You need a actual person who can see if there is a chance that you may suffer from Macular Degeneration or whatever it is that has caused you mother's loss of sight.
