Been there, done that. If you want your hair to calm down, avoid shampooing. Curly hair does not react well to too much shampooing, so limit it to once a month. Condition your hair twice a week. Then, invest in products that "relax" curls (but not a "relaxer", that's chemical straightening, and it will ruin your hair.) I'd say John Frieda products work very well to tame puffy hair. Finally, let your hair grow out. Don't color it.
If you want "straight girl hair," which secretly most of us curly girls do, the only way to get it is to go to a stylist and get it straightened. But beware, it fries your hair very quickly.
My rec is to stay with what you have, and learn how to tame it. I straightened my hair, and now it's too short to wear it curly!

GHD's! They really are worth the money as they make your hair nice and straight and if you used the products that you can buy with them such as the anti frizz serum and the hairspray (the one in the black pump spray bottle). You will have perfect hair in no time!. Otherwise get plenty of mousse and texturiser and scrunch it under a diffuser on your hairdryer!!!!! Good luck x

Easy, put a fingernail size drop of hair conditioner into palm of hands. Rub into hands then trail ya fingers thro your hair.It will calm your puffy hair down a treat. Remember to do this on dry hair and not too much conditioner.

Ha. My hair isn't puffy. It's poofy. Too bad. I mean, you can wet it down in the mornings. But my hair, people like to touch it because it's poofy!

Pantene shampoo called anti- frizz it really works.
if you do not want to use that you first wet your hair and then get some olive oil, and spread it all over your hair and then take your shower and do not forget to use your shampoo and conditioner.
and when you dry or strain your hair , the frizz is gone and you get shiny healthy hair trust me it really works.

After you finished washing it, shower some cold water on it and you dont get that fluffiness. Not too much - you dont want to be shivering like hell!

You can wet it down with water and hairspray it in place. But a way better way to do it is perm it.
