This is mine, in short: Several years ago I hated God and everything about him. Born into Christianity, but also poorer than dirt, I left home at the age of 16 to hide from it all. Some time later I found myself living in my car, which I was also hiding from the repo man, and hating God all the more for it. Then one day, contemplating self-death, I Iooked towards the heavens and jokingly told God if he was who they said he was, do something for me and I would serve him forever. To shorten the story, today I have a beautiful 5 bedroom home, a wonderful wife and son, 2 published Christian books, a successful medical career and my own business. Many email me today and say I'm too arrogant on Y!A, but I have seen it all and I defend the God who saved me at all costs.

Near death Experience.
I was walking through town and I was with my brother. We both had gone shopping into a Jewlery store because he wanted to buy an engagement ring for his wife. He couldn't find one for a decent price and it was getting late so I told him that we should go back to the bus station and go home, and try again tommorrow . We're going down the street and the next thing I know is that two motorcycles pass by and loud noises start pouncing around. Turns out they gave us a drive by, and my brother didn't make out of it alright. He died in the hospital three days later, and the saddest thing is, is that the girl he was going to be engaged to had been cheating on him. Now she married to someone else.
I have learned to have faith a little more. Just a shortened story of something that happened that changed my life.

This is moving on to the third year in a row my husband has had surgery and chemotherapy except this time they're figuring on stem cell transplant as well as bone marrow transplant after the radical chemo. The thought of it stresses me out but in faith I realize we can walk through it with God's grace and still see a positive outcome for him. Bad news doesn't have to mean "the end as we know it." It can mean a total giving up of our own control in the situation and giving it God and we have complete peace. That's what I feel right now -- complete peace.

I used to be a very shy quiet girl. I spent 8 1/2 years in a Christian Drama ministry....I am now even studying to be a licensed minister. I've come a long way from that shy quiet girl....now I'm even answering questions here on Yahoo which years ago I would have been too afraid of being flamed to even attempt to answer. Now I pray for wisdom to know when to answer and when to keep quiet. God has taken me from a mousy wallflower to an intelligent, lovely, loving woman of God that people feel comfortable talking to.
