Ever since I was little and accidentally punctured my left ear drum (now partially healed) I have been able to control some unknown muscle in my ear that makes a rumbling sound. Like rushing water or an earthquake in my head. Like Im vibrating "something" in there lol. It gets annoying sometimes because when Im sick that noise comes with sharp pains in my ears when I can't drain them. Anywho, I can time the rumble to the beat of songs and everything. It's very odd.

If you look up (with just your eyes, not your head) and then close your eyelids, you'll hear a weird sound. Is that what you're talking about?
