Treat them like anyother neighbor. We don't require any special treatment. Chat about the weather, local news and what ever you talk to anyone else about. I wish my neighbors were as considerate as you, they are real pains. My neighbors daugter put a barbie with a scarf on her head in a noose and hung her from my door knob. I told her mother and she siad she was just a kid (she is 12) playing. I took it as a threat and my husband and I want to move from our home.

I am always fascinated by the ideas that some people entertain with regards to others.
Muslim, black, American, left handed. does it really matter people are people, some you like, some you don't; is it really necessary to justify yourself as to why you do or don't like them: frankly I couldn't care what colour, race, religion or language people are, meeting different folk is an experience to be enjoyed, afterwards decide whether you want to continue the relationship .. I have visited over 100 countries in my lifetime and the only obnoxious people I have met have been those who don't like things different to their own cultures: like British people who complain they can't get a decent cup of tea in Spain or Americans who think everything else is secondary to what they have seen in the USA .. for heavens sake choose who and where you speak to people and forget the other garbage, you'll find life is much more interesting .. oh incidentally, the worst people I have come across have been the loud mouths who know nothing and claim to know everything about other people .. and our neighbours are Filipinos and Russian

It depends. Are you proud of being a bigot? Or do you think you are a rational and kind person? If your a bigot and proud of it, go with the hatred so he/she can see you for what you are right off the bat and know well enough to avoid you like the plague. If you are a normal, sane, and objective person try treating them like you would treat any new neighbor.

Muslims are people just like anyone else. If you treat your neighbor with kindness and respect, you can't go wrong - and you tend to get the same in return.

There's enough hatred in the world right now, so simply saying hello, talking about the weather, etc, or sharing a plate of cookies to let them know you're a nice person, will always be a decent thing to do.

I have 2 Muslim families in my neighborhood - and we babysit each others children and enjoy each others company. I feel blessed to have such good neighbors - so please give yours a chance...... You will probably be pleasantly surprised

there's nothing wrong with being friends with Muslim people. they're humans too, you know?

it's not because Muslims are accused for the terrorism and stuff like that you would treat them differently. it wasn't their fault to belong to a community or a race of such.

think about this, what if the world shifts? it's not the Muslims who are accused as terrorists but the Americans. would you like your Muslim neighbors treat you bad?

i wouldn't hate them...rather I'll try to make them feel that they are accepted

I'd treat him normally, most Muslims are okay. Only the extremists aren't. If I got the impression he was an extremist I'd turn pretty cold toward him, though!

Whatever his religion or skin color wouldn't matter. I would treat him the same way I would want to be treated if I moved into a Muslim community.

Neighbors are neighbors regardless of their religion. My Muslim neighbors got a package of Christmas cookies and a card from me at Christmas.I don't expect them to convert . I was just wishing them a happy Christmas like I do all my neighbors.

I'd treat him like any other neighbor -- with kindness. That's what it means to have a neighbor.
