I have been in that situation before. My advice is to keep things at a friendship level. If you decide to act on it, you'll only end up hurting 3 people, Him, her and yourself. If you really want to stay friends with him, do not tell him how you feel. If something is meant to be between the two of you, it will happen naturally.

Yea. You should stay as his really good friend. Cuz if you like him enough this shouldn't be a problem. I realized this from personal experience. I had met this guy and right away I kinda liked him. But he had a girlfriend. But I sttod by his side and helped him out just like any good friend would do. And it turned out that after awhile that he would tell me a little more about his girlfriend. And he would confide in me more for things and sooner or later, we were together and he had left the other girl. I was soo happy I waited. It will be worth it if you really want to be with this guy. But this does mean you should probably not go out with anybody else. So that you can just be there "ready" if he chooses to get rid of his girlfriend. Then you can be his emotional support and this is how strong b/f g/f relationships are built.

I wouldn't tell him how you feel to soon. Take it slow. You seem like you really care, and based on personal experience, saying your in love with your best can ruin a relationship. Make sure that he feels the same way about you. If you feel like you can't hold it in anymore, give him a big hug and tell him you really care about him. Not love. It will make the situation really awkward if you say you love him. Just do what your heart tells you to.
I hope everything works out for you.

Umm, for the moment I suggest you stay as friends, just wait until they brake up as most relationships do not last long now a days. You can talk to him about a relationship once he is single again. Save your friendship.

He is in a relationship. Why would you want to make things awkward between you and him? Leave it at being good friends with him. His girlfriend trust you most women dont want their mate to have a female best friend and this is the reason why. You have motives and want him.

Sounds like you got one of those problems (dilemmas) that we can make fun at.
I think you ALL are under 20 and there are no commitments.
NEVER give up a friend but to have lost in love is better than never. So wait it out but be friends.

it is good to have a best friend as a male and you will feel those feelings for him but sometimes it is best that you teo just stay best friends..... if you were to start a realtaionship it could mess things up..... do not come onto hime let him come on to you and then you have some kind of security there that you know if you two were to get in a relationship that it was his choice to take it to another level.... good luck!!!

wow sounds like a prob. well maybe just stay friends w/ him for a while more. and if you got to know his gf the worst you could do is make them break up. and if you want him to be happy, no matter what, then you should just stay friends. plus if you tell him you like him, it could maybe ruin your relationship as friends. just keep things simple for now.

NEVER steal/borrow another person's man/woman
If he/she cheated WITH YOU, he/she will cheat ON YOU.
Respect other people's relationships, and stay distant. Friends are ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS better than relationships (especially for amateurs and beginners).
Friends with benefits is fun, BUT, don't let a person do that when he/she is already taken.

well im in the same boat as you with my best friend who happens to be a guy. i told him i like him and what not but he says that right now he knows his ways and hed be too scared that hed cheat on me and it would ruin our friendship so hed rather wait until later on in life. But i think that you should tell your friend how you feel who knows maybe he feels the same way.
