The dermatologist told my mom to put Crisco on her hands and feet and put 100% cotton gloves and socks on at night.

I love Nexcare foot cream--smells good, smoothes and hydrates as soon as you rub it in. They also make a skin crack formula if your skin is past dry. Plus, it's cheaper than most other brands and it works great. They make the best bandages...give their cream a try.
I also like Burt's Bees Beeswax and Banana hand cream--it's thick and smells good and isn't too greasy. Try botanical formulas that are soothing, with stuff like feverfew, calendula, and lavender.
As far as eczema and dermatitis--try to keep from breaking out, because sometimes you need to get prescription stuff once it's bad. For itchy skin, try an anti-itch ointment with a topical anesthetic rather than using lots of corticosteroids. No matter what the condition, you'll be better off if you're not scratching your skin.

I don't know if you're a firm believer in home remedies, but those with the condition eczema have reported apple cider vinegar and brewer's yeast helped clear their skin up. You can get the powdered brewer's yeast (the most potent form) at health stores.
Other suggestions:
Use a natural olive oil soap (kiss my face a good brand)
Use cocoa butter on your hands and feet and another popular tip is to rub vaseline into your cracked skin at night, then wake up with softened hands and feet.
Make sure you're taking vitamin supplements
Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest.

Oddly enough, most medicinal creams designed for burns work well on eczema... at least they do for me. I burnt my hand last month and used a cream to help it heal. Just for the heck of it, I wiped the excess on a patch of eczema, and it went away. Give it a shot and good luck.

there are several products out there for this like crack cream, ect. Burt's Bees has some great products and my Aunt used to used solid Crisco at bedtime and then put on cotton socks and gloves and sleep in them........in the morning she would wash up and after a couple nights she only had to do it about once a week.

Hi. My advice is to try vaseline dry skin, put it on before you go to sleep and put a sock over your hand with in a couple of days it will resolve. Hope it helps!

Just found this stuff last week, my friend had me try it and it's wonderful: Corona original lanolin-rich Ointment
It is used for farm animals as well as people. My friend asked her son's pediatrician and this was recommended. It is by far the best thing I have found. No joke, she bought it at Quality Farm and Fleet. Their # to order is 1-800-241-6996

Burts Bees makes great products for the feet and hands, as does Philosophy. Visit both of their web sites when you have time. I have a preference for Philosophy, although it costs more, it's worth it.

on feet and hands, seems that vaseline works pretty good, also after a shower when your still wet, try smoothing some baby oil over your body, while your still wet. including your feet. It helps lock moisture in, and it works great! I also recommend, Avon sss body oil for after showers, and the oil of olay body conditioner too.. they smell great and work great!

I hear Aveeno lotions are good for eczema. But also you should massage natural oils into your skin, like flax seed oil or coconut oil.
