video camera filter & lens question?

video camera filter & lens question?

every time i see "jackass" or "viva la bam" i see one of the guys with a regular mini dv camera, but it has like a big lens or a filter attached to the original lens. Does anyone know what is probably attached to the lens?

yeah, fisheye or wide angle. They're both the same thing, but fisheye just has more distortion.
