JUST DEPENDS ON WHAT AREA OF THE USA YOUR IN IF HE DID OR DIDN'T. OUT EAST HE DIDN'T. IN THE MIDWEST HE DID. IF YOU LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR NO MATTER WHAT WE HAVE 6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER.

True he did not see it which is suppose to mean a short Winter. However, it is still 6 weeks before the first day of spring no matter if he see his shadow or not. Right now it is -8 degrees here so winter is not comming to an end fast enough.

In NYC and in Penn. both groundhogs did not see shadows. That means a shorter winter supposedly.
I feel that if they see a shadow it means 6 more weeks of winter, If they don't see their shadow, that means just a month and a half more winter:)

Makes no difference. Groundhog day is a tradition, nothing more. The first day of spring is March 21, no matter what.

Candlemas is another name for Groundhog Day, and it says that if Groundhog Day is sunny (i.e. the Groundhog sees his shadow), then there will be six more weeks of winter.

He did see his shadow, and we will have a early spring, as they say. With this global warming, the way it is, I believe it.
