You're thinking about this in the wrong order.
Step 1 is pick a guy who is really awesome.
Step 2 is to realize I'm taken, and pick a different guy.
Step 3 is to pick another guy who's really awesome. See if thinks you're awesome too. Go from there.
If you go into this thinking "I need a boyfriend" with no clue what you want, you'll probably end up with a guy of some sort. He probably won't be what you want.

You don't even need a boyfriend. If you rush it, and get a boyfriend just becuase you're too desperate, you will face problems later when you really do start liking someone, but you're stuck with the boyfriend you found a few years back when you were in the desperate stage. So I would say, wait, and time will tell.

To be honest theres no direct way. But flirt and get to know him. Find out if you share similar interests like a favorite movie or something. Start hanging out with a group of friends and slowly start inviting less and less people. Finally you might be comfortable when its just you two...Good Luck!

Don't feel like you have to have a boyfriend you can be perfectly happy single. Free to do whatever it is you want to. Guy friends that like to hang out and have fun with you is much better than the 'stressers' of dating. :D

don't be so depserate...if you do you might attract the wrong guys for the wrong reason's and get in trouble.....just act yourself and if you wait it out you'll find out that there a ton of guys that want to ask you out...but were to shy.
