ok..so as some of you know ive been known to write a few prank Q&A's on this site but now im serious...ive converted to LaVayan Satanism..its NOT devil worship by any means..but im getting alot of friction from my family about it..ive been trying to explain to them and i think they understand but im not sure..any advice you can give me? advice from actual satanists is highly appreciated.

Sorry, not a Satanist. But I would think that since they seem to be trying to understand that reading about it would help. There are books out there specifically for the families of Wiccans who have worries about them, but I'm not sure if there are such things for the families of Satanists. If you are involved with a particular organized group I would ask if they have any such literature. Also you could point them to religioustolerance.org as they have some basic information there.

Whether you admit it or not, believe it or not, Satanists worship and obey Satan. You can deny you allegiance to and worship of Satan all you want but Satan does not deny this nor his ownership of you. All the props, rites and rituals of Satanism represent and symbolize Satan. You don't have to take my word for it, the Satanic Bible states the same thing. Hedonism and Satanic worship go hand in hand. No man can serve two masters, and there are only two masters from which to choose-Satan or God. If you want some advice from a former Satanist I suggest you look up books by Mike Warnke and find cassette tapes of him speaking. I can tell you Hell is Horror, the most opposing thing to the soul that it is described as fire. People are locked up for eternity. You better go out and enjoy life to the fullest because were your going you are going to need all the memories you can get .
