Can someone please help me think of something to get my bf for valentine's day?? He's at boot camp- for the marines- & so it can't be anything big- I'd have to send it in the mail.... I don't know what to get... I was thinking since I'm a writer that I'd by a cute valentine's card & write him a poem & a little note in it.... do you think that's ok or do you have any other suggestions??

you could get some sexy pictures taken of yourself and send them to him. Heck, that would be a pretty sweet gift even if he were at home and not in Iraq.

That's a really cute idea. You should go for it. And another suggestion could be soemthing of your that you treasure...that's not too big.....and something that he knows you treaure that way he knows how much you still are there for him and that you truely love him. Also another good ides would be to get a little bottle of your favorite perfum...unless he's alergic...and put it into the envelope and send it to him. Nothing makes a guy more happy (in my opinion0 then being able to smell your girlfriend (or boyfriend) on your stuff. Like a pillow or just around. Plus at least the rooms will smell nice...^_^ Good luck babe..and I hope he's okay. Have a Happy Valentines Day.

Well, when my dad was in the marines, my mom told me that every Valentine's Day or any other major holiday, she would get something festive but not too festive. On Valentine's Day, she would get a nice picture frame and a nice picture of her and sent it to my dad. She says that he still has them.
I think the card will work, too. Since your a writer and all, you can somewhat do like a combo thing like write a letter to your boyfriend in the on the right sibe and on the left where nothing is there, you can tape a picture of you there!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Being an Army brat and having worked on an Army base I am aware that the Marines produce some of the finest P.A.M.,s (Prime Alpha Males) the world has ever seen. Your boyfriend is at boot camp (and if he made it to boot camp, has the potential for said elite force.) You need to make a bold statement. You need to remind him that you are the only woman for him. Maybe he needs an 8 X 10 pin up pic of you dressed in something alluring for his locker. Call his cell and leave a message reminding him of that memorable last date. Send him something personal of yours that he admired - your favorite sweater he liked so much. Or if you have a wicked sense of humor, mail him a heart shaped box of chocolates and eat half before you mail them. What I am trying to say Dear, if you want to send any kind of gift to your man who is far away, always make it unforgettable. So if you are going to do poetry do it bawdy. For sure he won't forget. Good Luck.

Send the card with a big red lipstick kiss on the outside. Put a sexy pic in it for hip and add a little of his favorite perfume to it. Mail from home is huge. It's an even better idea to send him 1 ever day this week. That way he'll get a piece of mail from u everyday for a week. I promise he'll love it.

That sounds good.......some things to read are good for people that are probable home sick so yes a poem, note, or maybe since you are a writer see if you can come up with an entertaining short story with you and him as the primary characters

You could write him a poem and a short little letter as well. Then at the bottom of the letter where you sign your name, put a kiss next to it (put red lipstick on and basically kiss the paper). That would probably be very sweet to him!

Anything from home is the best. A poem about a special memory, event, or happening that the two of you shared.
