My newly acquired chihuahua puppy cries and cries at a spot on the wall near an electrical outlet. She cries constantly to get downstairs and when we let her go she runs right to this spot and cries and cries. We thought she was hearing something and have unplugged the tv and such in the room. Just wondering what else she could be sensing.

Some dogs can hear extremely high pitch sounds, which anything electrical will make. I have a border collie mix that can tell when a digital camera, or any other electrical device is turned on regardless or whehter he sees it. He will jerk his head up a split second BEFORE the phone rings!

Of those I would say C) is the closest as the others (except F) are derivative of that. Still correct, though! I see what you mean though; we build up models to describe the universe we observe, including predictive theories that reflect our understanding at any one time. Where there are gaps in knowledge, we strive to close them with more understanding, using evidence acquired from experiment and observation. When we neglect or throw away such understanding, we just give up on our ability to reason and defy our curious nature. "Goddidit" is the ultimate cop-out, as it can be applied to anything with equal justification, very much including an electric current.
