well i think that they come back because when they had you they didn't really no what they had going for them self's and then when there gone they miss them and they realized what they had then

Ex's come back for some obvious reasons. They could be lonely, they could not be getting anyone else or they just miss you. You should probably hope it is the last one.

Why would you wand someone that you have EX'd. You have to remember that you cannot move forward looking back. Continue to be cordial with him, but, he is an ex for a reason. Be smart for yourself. Grow from these past relationships. Move on and do better. You deserve better.

cause um they really did love you they were just trying to beat you to the punch cause they were affraid you would dump them and eventualy they realize there mistake and want to try over again, but not all ex's come back I know that for a fact

HABIT and comfort... like smoking its a routine they go through, after leaving they realize the were comfortable with the life style they had with you, and what it back.
or to be more brutal: Low Self-Esteem
most people feel like they need to have someone, very few can even go a year without being in a relationship.

Because they already know what to expect, whether it be good or bad. Alot of pople would rather stick with the familiar then go out and try and get to know someone all over again from scratch

Depends on who dumped who. If they dumped you, then maybe they are lonely and figure you're good entertainment until they can find somebody they're really interested in.
If you dumped them, then maybe to prove they're over you, to show you how they've grown, risidual feelings of friendship, or because they're silly and think they have another chance with you.
From experience, if you were dumped, never let them talk you into dating again unless you are addicted to pain. If they keep pushing your buttons, cut them out of your life permanently.

Because you let them...ex's dont always stay that way...it depends on why the became an ex. Was it something stupid or something way worse.

goooooood question. EX's are EX's for a reason...if you brake up with someone, or they break up with you, its usually quite hard to get back together and make it work
