I'm getting married this year in September. My fiance and I would like to go on a honeymoon but don't want to spend a lot of money because we are saving for a down payment to purchase our first home and would rather put money towards that. Does anyone have any honeymoon suggestions or know where I can get 'all inclusive' wedding packages for a good price? Thanks to everyone that helps me out with this!

I would suggest a weekend at a bed and breakfast. Somewhere within 300-400 miles from your home. A few hours in a car and you're ready to spend the weekend together doing whatever it is you will do. Visit a place that has shops, resturants, and scenic places to see. I would be willing to bet there are places like that all over the lower 48.

Congratulations on your big day. :D

If you live in America this might be a bit far but places like Bali, Fiji and Thailand have gorgeous honeymoon packages dirt cheap, im talking like AUS $1500 all inclusive for airfares, accommodation for 7 nights, food, activities and alcohol, which would be like US$1000. The flight might be a bit long but it would be worth the savings and you really should have a gorgeous island to celebrate your new life together on! Just google any of the above countries with "cheap holiday packages" and voila

well you don't say where you are from ? why not go to a place 4 5 hrs away an drive there vs fly it would be cheaper you don't need a luxury room because you will be doing one of four things sleeping eating showering sight seeing well make it five you know the fifth like id say if you live in fl go to Orlando or something here is another food for thought if you do want a luxury room stay 20 30 min out of main city's like stay in the out skirts of Chicago you will pay for a 3 star hotel but really get 5 star material vs staying in main city's what ever you do remember its about the two of you figure out what the budget is an stick to it you will have hundreds of trips to take around the world good luck

Figure out how much you want to spend. Then you need to find the best deal. I used vacationstogo.com My air fair I did on my own. I had a great honeymoon in Mexico and even got to stay longer due to the price. Also do not get the best room in the hotel when I got there they upgrade us for free

if you like the outdoors, why not go stay in a cabin in the woods, or rent a house on a lake for a few days? i'm not sure where you're from , but in NY, there are ton of camping places at the parks and the adirindacks, and because of the finger lakes, there's tons of romantic little lakehouses you can rent for a few nights on really nice lakes. but that might be a bit cold for september, sorry!! didn't see the september there!! you could stay at a bed and breakfast for a few nights, maybe in a palce with lots of sight-seeing. or go to a spa like place not far from you for a day or two, then go on a bigger vaction after you buy your house!! good luck and congrats!!

If you have a look on EBay you can find some excellent all inclusive holidays. i have recently purchased(already used) a trip to Bali, it cost me $100 for a couple for 6 nights. the total amount that the holiday cost me for my partner and i for 6 nights was $1000 for 2 people including airfare and drinks and meals. it was a brilliant holiday and would do it again.
