I'm sick of the Christian right on Yahoo answers. There are other religions in the world. Why can't you accept this and let others believe what they want. Talk about closed minded.

I've never met anyone from any "other" religion try to shove their beliefs down my throat so hard as the bible thumpers. Trying to prove something, are we?

I already have a belief system. I am not an athiest. No, Jesus is NOT my savior and I am not going to hell. There is no hell, you subcribe to that belief, so you go.

Christianity is a disease that has infected mankind for nearly 2000 years.. it creates a mental illness in its followers that cause them to behave in horrible ways that are totally foreign to what their bible says their Christ was like; yet they claim to be followers of Christ (which is what the term christian means).
They are deluded and sick.. the only cure for them is to go cold turkey from their belefs and be innoculated against them.

I am a Christian. Most Christians on here may be close minded but they realize that others do have their own beliefs and respect those beliefs.
Most Christians though do not know much about the other religions. I personally have stuided all the major world religions and have visited various religious worship centers. Jewish Temple, Mosque, Hindu Temple, etc. I do believe there is just one truth however. That truth is that Jesus is the Son of God and that the only way to the Father is through him.
I am more than willing to discuss and try to understand others beliefs as well but its my hope to share the truth with them that they may accept it. You can not condemn me because of this conviction. I will always be open-minded and respectful of other's beliefs as well. Sometimes I talk with others about their beliefs just to learn more.

I think everyone who has a "religion" feels the same way, not just christians. I also think that when people are so passionate about what they believe, unless they are seeking to learn about other religions, they tend to want to learn more about their own, therefore they believe they have the truth and yes, "closed minded" to desiring to be convinced that another is true..especially when they believe the "evidence" for theirs is so convincing to them.

Have you seen; Super Size Me? That's what I first think of when I hear Monopoly. Have you had a Big Mac lately? If Christians really bother you with their words, just wait until the Muslim extremists take over. What is it like to be in a Mosque full of people with gas? The unfortunate side effect of monotheism is faith in the divinely revealed truth. All others are heretics that must be destroyed, in this lifetime or the next.
As opened minded as a believer may want to be, the must follow their book's instructions to get their reward in the next life, even if it means creating hell on earth to secure heanven in the next.

I agree. I personally am wicca and well I always find it sad when christians bash the other beliefs considering the fact in there own belief it clearly states that you chould not pass judgements on other .....
I always find it amusing when the chritians them selves proove how untruthful , and imcompitent there own belief is.
They are the 1st to cast stones if you will yet in there own book in the new testament it clearly states in the sermon on the mount MR jesus him self started with ....
"COME ONE COME ALL"
Yet could a wicca or a athiest walk in a church and have no judgement passed .... hell no

well, ya gotta understand that for a Christian truth is no longer what is real, factual and honest. "TRUTH" is a deity named Jesus and Jesus is whatever they imagine him to be within the framework of their interpretation of the Bible. the Truth is no longer something you speak or an action of integrity. Truth is a personage that must be accepted as "Truth" disregarding any and all facts or truths to the contrary. that's call "faith". have faith in Jesus and you have the Truth and reality, facts, and truth can be ignored.
self honesty is not a Fundy Christian strong suit since Truth is in Jesus not themselves.

Maybe you have more of an issue with Christians than YOU realize. I myself love diversity, and honor and respect others decision. I will answer when asked, and keep quiet when I should. I am a Christian and don't appreciate being 'put in a box' as I'm sure Muslims don't want to be associated as a terroist. So, unless you have something nice to say ----- ---- -- --- ---!

Yes, there are other regions in the world, but Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life. And we know we have a monopoly of the Truth, because we have Jesus and He said, "I am the Way the Truth and the Life." As for being closed minded, all in can say to that one is, Thank You for the compliment
