ok i went to download the basic program limewire and after it got done it brought up a box tht said run or don't run and i hit the run button but it didn't do ne thing. so i tried this about 5 times and i tried both microsoft programs but neither will work. ne 1 know y or how i can get it to work??

do you have a firewall? if you do it could be blocking limewire.... if you have a firewall, go into the settings and allow limewire full access to the internet

Your computer may be blocking the program if you are running XP go 2
Control Panel
Network and Internet Connections
Click Custom Level
Click the Security tab
Then look down the list until you see "downloads"
Then enable all downloads and file sharing
Also If you have a pop-up blocker make sure it is not blocking the window to come up.
Just check any other settings that may be blocking it as well as a firewall

IT DONE THE SAME THING TO ME AFTER YOU HIT RUN..LET IT SIT THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN GO TO RESTART YOUR PC AND WHEN YOU HIT RESTART IT WILL FINISH THE PROGRAM.. GOOD LUCK.
