In bed by 8 during the week and 9 in weekends

I would say between 8 and 9 during the school week and not after 10 on weekends. This way you child doesn't get in the habit of staying up to late. When I was in elementary school, i went to bed no later that 9 and in middle school it was 9:30 and it really worked out well.

I put my children to bed at 8:30 during the week and 10:30 on the weekends. My boys are 8 and 9. They also get up really early in the morning..6:30am for school.

Well, it all depends. If he/she has to get up early (like around 7 or earlier) i'd say send them to bed at around 7. This would give them time to get a little snack, brush their teeth, make sure there bag is all set for school, and just read for a little while. I personally think its easier for me to fall asleep after i've read a book, or watched tv. Maybe its the same with your son or daughter!

When they enter middle school, id say bed by 8-30, and can read untill 9-30.

high school--10:30. So many kids in high school go to bed very late, and have to get up so early! i think 10-30 is pretty fair.

As your kids get older, its kind of hard to send them to bed earlier, because then certain tv shows they like are on later, they arent tired, or they inisist their friends dont have a bedtime, or that their friends go to bed alot later then they do. Its just an excuse to stay up. Trust me!

on the weekends, that also depends on what time you have to get up. I would say the latest, 10: 30 - 11:00. They may even fall asleep earlier, if they are used to going to bed early.

Hope that helped!

My girls are 6 & 7, they get up for school at 7:15, so I send them to bed between 8-8:30. Any later than that they are bears in the morning.

Elementary School = 8:00 bedtime
Middle School = 9:00 bedtime
High School = 10:30. bedtime

On weekends? Depending on what was going on, I'd let them stay up a bit later... and in high school you really have to make decisions based on what they're doing, where they're going, who they're with, and what's going on the next day (and how much they'll need sleep to get through it!)
