Well there used to be a lot more and they were a lot bigger. they filter Carbon Dioxide and produce Oxygen - animals (including humans) would not be alive if there weren't any trees. All of this has already been said I know - but it is kinda a strange question to answer - We Need Trees to Live!

At the rate we are slashing the Amazon and chopping up the Northern Forests and entering an age of global warming - we will need more of them if we are going to survive - well I guess were all doomed.

go plant a tree, or 100.

Have a little patience. People are cutting down trees as fast as they can. Just wait a few more decades and most of the forest will be gone.

there are not enough trees!!

and without trees and plants we would all be dead!
they are what give us fresh air to breath so we may live

they filter out the carbon dioxide that we create, and prurify it back into oxygen :D

there can never be enough trees if you ask me :)
