My doctor prescribed me 2 week disposable contacts, but I'm used to wearing Purevision 30 day wears. He told me he doesn't sell those and doesn't recommend them, although my old doctor told me they were fine as long as I kept them clean (I had an insurance change so I have a new doctor.) My question is, can I just take my prescription and get 30 day contacts? Or do I need to get an entirely new prescription just so I can wear them?

Your prescription is just the fit and strength needed. Take that piece of paper to either a WalMart or a Target and have them order lenses for you.

The eye doctor should have ordered you what YOU want, not what he thinks you should have. My eye doctor says go with what you know is comfy and works for you. Sounds like that eye doctor has an ego problem that interferes with helping his patients.

Go elsewhere and get help.

If the new brand/style comes in your perscription and IF your perscription is less than a year old, you can probable just get them with the old perscription. If the perscription is older, they will want a new one.
