There never was any valid disagreement on the causes of Global Warming any more than there was ever disagreement that cigarette smoking caused Lung Cancer. There were paid "hacks" in the scientific community that attempted to present false evidence, both in the case of Tobacco and now with human induced Global Warming (read Exxon and Mobile oil companies).

The amount of Carbon Dioxide that has been added to the environment in the last 150 years is a third higher than it has ever been in the last 650,000 years. The measurements are recorded from ice samples from Antarctica. In 50 years, CO2 levels are projected to be +55% higher than they have ever been ever. This is if we do nothing and continue to do the eat-drink-and-be-merry policy we are doing now.

The high CO2 range used to be ~270 ppm of CO2. It is now about 350 ppm. It is projected to go towards 600 ppm.

Understand also that in the last ice age (when CO2 was around 150 ppm) the location of where Chicago is now, was under one mile of ice!

We are treading entirely new ground with what we are doing with the environment.

Know also that if either the Greenland or Antarctic ice shelves melt, about 20% of Florida will be under water. This includes all of Miami-Dade county and the Tampa-St. Pete areas. Don't forget other coastal areas, such as New Orleans and New York city. Tens of millions of people will be displaced in this country alone.

I don't think they so much use arguments as facts. Arguments are used as a debate tactic something a politician would use. One fact is that greenhouse effect is just one factor in the resulting gobal heat balance other factors are solar radiation and cloud cover. Which are two factors ignored by focusing on the greenhouse effect itself.

It is well known that solar radiation has increased over the last 10 years or so. Further evidence of this increased radiation is the shrinking polar caps on mars which any fool can figure out has nothing to do with the greenhouse gas levels on earth.

Bad ones, like those above.

The IPCC report explicitly considers, with actual peer reviewed data, things like solar radiation levels and volcanoes. Every halfway reasonable argument was considered. The full paper will be 1600 pages crammed full of data. It will be the most heavily peer reviewed scientific document in history. By the way, most scientists wanted to say it was "virtually certain" that global warming was real and caused by us. They agreed to "very likely" to get unanimous agreement from all the hundreds of scientists and the 130 countries involved.

The scientific debate is over. Global warming is real and caused by us. The next question is what to do about it.

well, yes, the earth changes, it is billions of year old and you can't expect it to NOT change and stay constant for eternity!
mother nature does that...it changes

but for a DRAMATIC change, like global warming buring up the earth within 100 years or w/e...that is highly doubtful

just recently somewhere in europe had record breaking freezing temperatures for like 7 years straight

i think that global warming is overrated and people are making a bigger deal about it right now the they should be

...stupid al gore...or whoever made the "inconvenient truth" movie lol

Your data is incomplete . The methane that is so bad prove it. Methane is very light so it goes very high ,now how do u measure it? The methane is not there as methane is very explosive and when we launch missals through the area nothing exploded. Where did it go???
