i have been seeing this guy for 6 months now and sometimes he gets down and likes to be alone. i understand that because i like to be alone sometimes too but i guess i just want to be there for him if he needs me to be. should i tell him this or let him have his time alone. will he turn to me if he needs me?

the next time he wants to be alone, just tell him that you're there for him and if he needs anything to let you know, and then let him be alone.

Everyone needs their own time. He knows you are there if he needs you - but why do you have to LET him have his alone time. He doesn't need to ask you for alone time; don't appear to needy to him. It's not attractive.

Yes, he will. And the longer you date, the more he will let you in.
