I just had my hair layered and cut shoulder length. It has been full of static and will not lay flat. (I have been using Pantene, but it doesn't work well for my hair) I have very fine hair, so I would like something moisturizing, but not heavy, because that would weigh my hair down.

Does anyone have recommendations for shampoo/ conditioner and styling products? I blow dry my hair pretty much every day, too...

Also, can anyone recommend a good hairdryer? Price really doesn't matter, I just want stuff that works.

You need a really good moisture conditoner. I use pureology products at my salon. They make a shampoo and conditoner called hydrate and everyone of my clients swear by it! it's about 20 bucks each, but you only use a quater size amount. as for styling products, you need a thermal protector for all the blowdrying. also use a silicone shine serum for after for flyaways. i will link you some good products that I use and love. As for a blowdryer, a good one will be spendy, like $150 but it is worth it on your hair! Any brand will do as long as you get tourmoline and ceramic and ionic. These thing keep your hair healthy, shiny and frizz free! try chi, t3 or go to sallys and get their generic version of the CHI. My mom bought it and it was like 60 bucks and it's pretty compairable to the better ones. DO NOT USE SUAVE OR PANTENE OR ANY OTHER STORE BRAND because the chemicals they put in cheap brands strip your hair and make it nasty! The reason good brands are expensive is because the ingredients they use are formulated to help your hair, cheap brands can't afford those ingredients so it's just detergents...like your dish soap!!!!!

Sounds to me like you have very fine hair which sucks in the winter because there is no humidity in your hair. Stick with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner like Back to basics. It's a not so expensive salon product and can be found everywhere. That will give you the best style you are looking for. When it comes to static you want to use a great finishing product like Kendra shine spray. That product is a light sheen that you can spray all over your hair that won't weigh it down and provides excelent shine plus smells like cotton candy. Still having trouble, my favorite product in the world is After Party by Tigi! You can put it on wet or dry. One whole squirt before you dry it. It's very light and will give you great shine. If you have any little hairs sticking up just a little bit on your hands to make it lay down when it's dry. Hope this helps. Ern the hairball

here are some products I recommend...they really are the best!!
shampoo-

the conditioner is listed under it-gives moisture but doesn't weigh it down, actually helps keep the body!

and here's a good product
http://paulmitchell.com/Products/PaulMitchell/ExpressStyle/Pages/QuickSlip.aspx
it's just like a styling creme that you need like 2 or 3 pumps of-you put on damp hair.

oh and a good dryer is the chi blowdryer-they are all good because they are made from ceramic from the inside out and actually help smooth and reduce static and damage. : )

I have hair like yours, so I know what works. Use the Sunsilk shampoo and conditioners. They are color-coded. Either use the one for frizzy hair (I'm not sure what color it is, but it says it on the bottle) or the one for flat hair (yellow). Each type also has it's own kind of special hair creme, which i think you are supposed to use when you blow dry your hair. (Ex: The one for flat hair comes with volumizing creme). The Sunsilk website it www.gethairapy.com. Use a conair blow-dryer.

i think of the dye you used may be hurting your hair. you may desire to ask your stylist to apply a distinctive dye next time. yet gat a shampoo this is relatively good in colored hair becuase it will make your hair greater and experience softer.

use thermasilk, its heaven sent. For a styling product, its nice to use a serum or mousse. I reccomend for a serum schwarscof , biosilk, or frizz-ease.
