Nope. I have seen people prayed for, said they were cured and later still had the same illness.

Yes, when I was about 7 or 8 my dad had arthritis in hands so bad they were starting to permanently curl. God healed him and 30 some years later he still has the use of his hands with no arthritis in them.

After 4 knee surgeries I was in constant all the time, everyday pain and a year ago God healed that pain and it no longer feels like sharp knives in my knees every time I walk out into the cold air.

In Nigeria, I saw a man prayed to literacy. He couldn't read at all and was prayed for and handed a Bible and he started reading it. I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it.

Not defies but I have witnessed and heard of many "lucky" experiences that could certainly be labeled miracles.

I slipped on a hiking trail once and fell/slid about 20 feet when I managed to be stopped by a fallen tree and climbed back up and did not sustain any serious injury.

Yes, I have personally seen multiple here on Yahoo Answers. People, when faced with overwhelming evidence for a fact, still continue to deny that fact. It's miraculous, and certainly defies medicine and science.

Yup. I have this friend who spilt dry ice water on his legs once. We took him to the hospital and they gave him a wheel chair and said that he'd be able to walk in a few weeks or so. And his legs were nasty man, scars and red spots everywhere from the freeze. Well anyway we all got down on our knees and streched out our hands and prayed for him. And the next day when the doctors went to change his bandages there was nothing on him. No red spots, no freeze burns, and he had hair everywhere like usual. We're all like whoa! Then he just stands up and starts walking around with no pain.
God is real ladies and gents!

they gave her 50/50 chances of walking again as she was paralysed from the waist down
they said that if she was to walk it would take up to 3 years with physio etc
a week later she walked out of the hospital with doctors wondering why and how

Yes. Many.MANY.

ONE in particular, really scared me. SCARED me, because I just wasn't expecting anything to happen. I HONESTLY thought the lady would DIE FIRST.

I was in the CCU aiting room, to see MY mom in CCU. During that week, I had met 3 brothers all middle aged, who had a mother who'd had a stroke. She had been in a Coma for 2 MONTHS

Friday night came, the 3 brothers weren't there. Something reminded me of,"You wanted to pray go pray for her (their mother) when nobody was around. Now is the time."

I went up to the Intenssive Care Unit where their mother was. The nurses told me I could visit with her for 5 minutes only. I wnt to her bedside, first tried to talk to her, telling her, "Your oldest son wants to talk to you before you go Home (meaning, I knew she would die some time, but, the brothers all wanted to talk to her before she DID go).

Then I prayed "Jesus, we ask you to come into her and heal her mind and body." I felt an OVERWHELMING pressence of the Holy Spirit after that. As I began to leave, I saw one of the nurses CRYING STREAMS of tears.

The NEXT MORNING, 12 HOURS after I prayed that little prayer for her, the mens mother awoke out of her Coma!

They all got to speak to her for a week before she passed on.
