You are in a tough pickle! I'd just give them to my parents, close friend, or someone I know who is responsible and loving!

If you cant leave them with family or friends, then its best to find them a new home. A year is a long time to not be able to take care of animals..I often advise people as well as family and friends that if they are considering getting an animal to realise that they are making a lifelong commitment, and that they cant just figure things out in the future should something come up and they cant take care of them for awhile.People need to plan way in advance..You didnt say why you couldnt take them,or how old they are,but when you aquired them that was well you made the commitment..If no one will care for them for the year,,then you need to find them a new home or get in touch with a rescue group who will find them a home thats willing to make the commitment.

Well, first of all, who is your most trusted neighbor? Is he/she smart with dogs? If so, then leave your dogs with that person. But, if that person ALSO has one golden retriever and a lab and they are the opposite sex of your pups, then choose a friend of yours. it doesnt have to be a neighbor. if that is the same problem, then shake it off, do it with a different friend. glad I could help.

kennels - but they can be expensive - try talking to dog breeders they may strike a deal with you so you can look after them
Why can't't you take them - some contries allow interational dog travel but the dog needs a passport - to get into england anyways,,, is there a family member or close freiend that will look after them ?>?
Also talk to breed & animal rescues
good luck

Maybe with some family. One year will be hard because whoever takes care of them will become attached and will have a hard time giving htem back. for this reason try to avoid a family with kids that will be very upset ina year when you come back.

It really bothers me to see questions like this. If I couldn't take my dogs, I wouldn't go. If they were your children and you couldn't take them what would you do? By getting a dog you accepted a responsibility for the rest of his life. I hate it when people feel that they can just abandon those responsibilities.

do you have a boyfriend that would be able to take them. you could always put them into their vetranarians office. if neither of thoseare optional maybe a family member or friend could watch them. it would be best to have them watch the dog for maybe just once so they don't get too attched. good luck.

If you trust your neighbors go for it. You have to do what is good for your dogs. Dogs have short memories, so they readjust quickly. If you cant find anyone to keep them for you. You should consider giveing them away to good homes.

The best choice, i believe would be to contact a local rescue shelter. The shelter will be best suited to find your dogs a good home.
good luck

Rehome them permanently. Who's to say you won't do this again down the road. Be fair to them. They shouldn't have to tolerate this upheaval.
