I'm not sure if I understand this Q either!
Do you mean what are the pros and cons of being a 'Pathologist' by profession?
If that's the Q then...
*Pros: You get a lot of time to spend with friends and family inspite of being an MD and you still make decent money and get the title of being called a 'doctor'

*Cons: You don't get to have patient interaction inspite of being a 'doctor'. You spend you day looking at slides or specimens.

Pathologists diagnose disease by using samples of tissues.
I think you mean pathologies. These are the samples taken for testing (biopsys). They help the pathologist determine the disease is present and how extensive it is.
