i heard that the ministry of defence (uk) will be stopping the red arrows display team on counts of money shortage im not sure if this true or not but do u think maybe

Here is the Sunday Express link that claims the Red Arrows may be axed with the next round of defence cuts.

It would be a shame to see them disbanded.

I used to live in Torbay and for years they would state in the paper that the Red Arrows were going to be disbanded. When the shows were put on the community would fit the bill and collections would help also.
No doubt the military spin this story every so often to get more goverment funding.

This always seems to crop up in the press now and again but I think they Reds do far too much for trade and industry in this country for the government to let them go so I think they will be here for a few more years yet.

Also did you know that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has to run at no extra cost to the tax payers. This is also another group that was going to be disbanded.

I agree with Nathan, I think the RAF let this one leak every now and then to get more money from the MOD.

But the Arrows do so much for British PLC that I think they're here to stay for a good while longer.

My understanding is that the MOD / RAF have no current plans to shelve the Red Arrows who are booked for a full fling season this year.

I read this in one of the papers the other week I think it was the daily express I could be wrong!.so yes it is true the money pinching bureaucrats.

i tihnk they were going to, but more people have started funding it now.

i really hope they carry on because they do some awesome displays.
