What would you think if your partner & you have been trying to get back together & you just found out that her ex gave her $5,000 to go buy a car with because the ex said she needed transporttion.. She told me the ex said they felt like it was owed to her since when they lived together that my ex gave up her check for the house payment & only kept $100 a month out for herself. Was this right for her to take this money since we are trying to get back together?

It probably wasn't a good idea as far as keeping strings attached with her ex goes. But it isn't necessarily a bad idea. If she can exhibit self control, passing up what could seemingly be free money for something useful would have been a worse idea.

She seems to have little character or ethics. Taking money from a man was the easy way out. Of course, she was shacking up out of wedlock with the guy before, so that confirms her low morals, too.

it's okay if she feels she is entitled to that money...
if she wants to get back to you then she loves you and money or no money that should not stand in your way.
