Sure, why not? If you can handle the critics, I dont see why not. It wont hurt his image and he isnt old enough yet to have bullies pick on him at school. hypathetically speaking, if he or she were 8 years old and went to 2nd or 3rd grade, then Id say no because their peers would have a field day calling names and it would cause he or she to become an outcast. As parents, we want to help our children become comfortable about their self. I dont promote holding back a childs self expression, but in this case its the parents self expression being created upon a 3 year olds head, LOL ,

There were 3 or 4 of the boys in my daughters pre k class (4 year olds) had mohawks last year. They were adorable!

If the kid WANTS a Mohawk, why not? Nowadays, most kids look pretty strange anyway. I don't think it would be a big deal. On some kids, a Mohawk looks pretty good!

Who's idea is it? I think such an extreme haircut would be better off chosen by the child, and unless your 3yr old kid has said he wants that particular style, I wouldn't do it to them. Mostly the problem will be if when they are a couple of years older and want to grow their hair out to have a "normal" haircut, they will either spend a lot of time with an "in-between" awkward look, or will have to shave everything off to do it.

well, that is a pretty different hair style. So i would wait till your child could make his/her own decision. 3 year olds are influenced greatly by their peers, so if a friend didn't like it that could also lower thier self-esteem. I would wait until your child was old enough to choose for him/herself.

I wouldn't right now because where I live, it's like 20 below zero. But if you live in a warmer climate, why not? It will look cute!

It's a hair cut, it's cute, and it will grow out eventually anyways. I don't see what the big deal is.
