Yes, when we die we cease to exist, the only exception is the remnant of the 144,000 who are still on the earth, when they die, they will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye to be with God and his Son, Christ Jesus in heaven and the others of the 144,000 who are already there. The rest of us who die,(before Armageddon, as those who die at Armaggeddon that are being judged for their sins won't be resurrected), or at Armageddon who aren't dying for their wickedness will be resurrected back to life on a paradise earth. Read Genesis 2:7, Ezekiel 18:4, Ecclesiastes 9:5,10, Revelation 14:1-5, 1 Corinthians 15:51,52, John 5:28,29, John 11:25, Acts 24:15, Psalms 37:11,29. Give thought to this, when we die there is nothing but the hope of being resurrected back to life by God through his Son, Christ Jesus, so, we are unaware of anything when we are dead, so we do not know the passage of time, so when we close our eyes in death we will instantly,to us since we are unaware of time, open them again to life on a paradise earth.

You don't KNOW that's not true, you believe that it's not true. I don't think there is anything after life but becoming fertilizer. I hope I'm wrong, but I have not seen anything to make me believe in an afterlife. In the abscene of any possible data or evidence, one can't know.

I believe that when we die, we're dead. No "blackness" - even blackness is a form of existence.
Why do I believe this? Because there is a lack of evidence pointing towards an afterlife.

What? After you die, there will be no thought for you to understand that there is nothingness/blackness (why not whiteness?)
Your "soul" is electricity in your brain. Your "emotions" are endorphins released by your brain and the "emotions" are controlled by the limbic system.

Yes, most people of higher intelligence. Some believe in reincarnation, which is much more logically plausible than a deity who sends all those who choose the right to eternal bliss and all those who choose the wrong religion to eternal suffering.

How do you know that's not true? Have you died and come back to life? NO. It's what YOU believe.Typical self-righteous crap. I don't know what happens when humans die, but I certainly don't believe in heaven or hell.

Why WOULDN'T you believe it? It's tough to think about not thinking, but we won't think when we're dead. The body stops functioning, and the brain is part of the body.
