Get smart and dont discuss anything confidential to her. Just back off and let her come to u when she needs help rather then giving her advice when she didnt ask for it.

I say first confront her and let her know that you know she tells Ike Turner (ha!) everything and then when she starts talking about him again don't comment. When he acts up again Tina Turner will eventually be forced to make some tough decisions. Just be there for her silently for now but rest assured she'll be coming to you in tears over this guy soon enough. So whatever you do don't completely cut her off she's going to need you.

She probably perceives telling him as good for the relationship. On her side, it makes her feel like she still has her best friend. And (she thinks) on his side, it makes him feel like she's standing up for him all the time.

Just from that you can see that she's probably not ready to hear about the problems in her relationship from someone else. I would just nod while she talks through it, and wait till she's ready to ask for your help.

You probably do still have a lot in common... sometimes all it takes is time.

I know exactly how you feel. I used to be very close with my sister as well. She let a man come between her family. He is very bad to her and she even lost her kids over him, and yet she stays with him. Whenever I try to tell her what I feel is right, she tells him and he tells her she can't talk to me anymore. This eventually changes and she calls again, but it is very hurtful.

Marriage changes people....now that she is married you may want to re-phrase your words due to the fact that she tells him everything and that is not a bad thing but the unfortunate part is that he mistreats her.

hmmm........this is hard. all you can really do is stay supportive of her, because she's really going to need you eventually. maybe every once in a while you can question why she's accepting something he's doing, but do it in a friendly way like you're just wondering, not in a sarcastic way. she kinds of needs to figure stuff out for herself. i'm speaking from experience unfortunately. keep loving her. :)

You are making an enemy in your brother in law. Keep away from their business. You can discuss it with your parents and they will know how to handle it.
