I'm sure there are different ways to say it, but for me: control remoto

Exactly like in English: control remoto.
It could change depending on the country. Some countries would say just "el remoto". In Venezuela, for instance, we say "el control" and everybody knows what we are talking about.

mando a distancia

It's one of those words that I'm sure is said differently in different Spanish speaking countries. But I lived in Spain for 2 years and there they say "mando a distancia".
