wash hair, then dry upside down with moose. then section hair in one inch piece, spray setting lotion or thermal spray or even light hold hairspray on pieces, then curl with iron. do not shake out until cool, then comb through with a pick or fingers! then style and spray1

You need to use some sort of styling product when you curl your hair and spray it with hairspray after.

Try and use a smaller curling iron. the smaller the curls the better it stays. or you could tell the person that does your hair and ask her/him.
