Did somebody pull one over on you or what . . .
I have had four Boxers, and I have closely worked with atleast six others as well as socialized with a great number of them. They do NOT have unpredictable temperment. When I look at one of my Boxers, I know exactly what they're thinking and how they're planning to pull it off.
However, they CAN be difficult to take care of if you don't know what you're getting into. These dogs require a high amount of mental stimulation and a creative owner & trainer. If they get bored, say goodbye to your lovely looking home. They are stubborn and independent, and like to do things their way. From experince, you can begin to tell by their body and facial language what's coming next. However, aside from that: They're perfectly happy to naw on some bone while you go lolly-gagging. They're not needy dogs. Give them a medium-high diet of exercise, creative mental stimulation, a half-hour of cuddle every night and they're happy as a clam.
This breed is actually low maintence when compared to others. But for God's sake - do thorough research to make sure this is the dog breed for you. Personally, I love this breed to death and back. But they do not fit well with everyone.

No. Boxers are really friendly, loyal dogs. They are very energetic. I have to say boxers Love all the attention they can get. But anyway boxers are great dogs! If boxers weren't kind and friendly then they probably wouldnt be used for guide dogs ( that was there original purpose ). I had 2 boxers so TURST me on this.
Boxers can seem very aggresive but, they aren't. Be sure if you get a boxer to do some research on the Web if I didnt quite answer your question, but i hope i did because i love to help.
Hey One more thing.......boxers are very good natured, the ONLY time a boxer would get aggresive IS IF YOU TRAIN THE DOG TO BE THAT WAY. Boxers are good with little kids and other pets also. The boxer i had lived to be 13 years old she died last march in 06.

Boxers are very lively and will need alot of walking! As for umpredictable temperaments? You could think that about any dog! A dog is what you make it! If you socialise it well and have firm training in place from the beginning , you should have no problems! They are a great pet and give you so much fun and great for all tha family! All I would say is if you have any small children , they are lively and can be abit clumsy when running around , they wont mean to hurt, but they could nock them over qyite easy! But like I said if you train your dog well i.e not to run around the house, you will be fine!!!!!! Go for !!!!!

Boxers usually do well with other dogs similar in size and cats if they are raised with them as puppies. They tend to be a bit stubborn and not the easiest breed to train. I've known some very experienced dogs owners to have difficult times with boxers from good breeders with dominant temperaments while others from the same litter were quite docile. In that sense, I belive them to be a mixed bag. What they all need are owners who are firm and highly committed to obedience training. They also need quite a bit of exercise.

they do take a while to grow up, they seem to think they are still puppies when they are 4 yrs old, and they bound around they dont seem to be able to walk anywhere they hop and bound about until they mature, they are not nasty dogs they are way too immature to be nasty so hjowever unpredictable they are you know for certain they will not attack you, i will advise you one thing when getting a boxer puppy try and get an older (6 mnths plus) as some boxers are prone to genetic collagen problems that do not show in the parents and dont show in the pup until they are heavy enough, it causes bandy legs , on hock walking very weak and deformed looking legs so good luck a boxer is a great dog (also a similar condition can occur if their food is not upto scratch i fed my boxer puppy purina iams apparently it wasnt good enough i had to change to aucachy(not sure how its spelt) ask your vet for advice on feeding your pup)

If you buy a Boxer from a reputable breeder you should have no problems. Yes there are Boxers with poor temperaments, same as any other breed but if you do your research you should find a typical Boxer with an equable temperament.

Someone has lied to you my friend. Boxers are the most loyal, loving creatures our creator graced this earth with. They are very VERY energetic and do require attention, as all animals do. Their personality's just cry out-love me-pay attention to me! Try a Boxer rescue for a quality dog. These dogs are screened for aggressions, up to date on shots, heart worm tested and usually spayed/neutered. I, personally am on my 6Th boxer and ready to foster one from a rescue till she is ready for my mom. Best of luck to you in your choice.

We had two, and they were two of the best, most even-tempered dogs we ever had. That's the reason we were partial to boxers. They were very easy to care for, and the first one we got from a shelter.
