I would definately reccomend going to a tanning bed before you cruise. I live in Illinois and am cruising on February 12th...I wouldn't even think of going without getting a little "sun" first. Since you are outside so much you will be so burnt by halfway through your cruise you will be miserable....Last January I went on a cruise with my sister who didn't tan in advance and she was a lobster for the last 3 days.
Some advice I will give on tanning: find a salon in your area with what is called a "high pressure tanning bed" they are larger and use the safer form of UV radiation...you also rarely burn with the use of a high pressure bed and since it tans deeper into your skin it lasts longer. Check it out online.
Have a great time on your cruise!

I would highly recommend that you get some what of a tan,, due to the strong sun and on the water.. if you don't have a tan base started you will burn.. I always tanned before going on a cruise just so being in the sun would enhance what I already had started. Go and have a fun time.

Dont pass tanning. Its undesirable on your epidermis, and except you pass more effective than 3 circumstances you wont truly get tan besides. in case you pick the tan look, previously the cruise, get a twig tan. be particular to pass to an area that someone easily airbrushes you, and not in any respect a gadget. Thats what I do, this way, you wont be to light on the deliver, and also you should use sunblock and nevertheless get a tan certainly!

yeah it would help.... help you get skin cancer. Okay little motherly advice aside, I would say yes it would help you get a base tan so you just don't burn right away. If you burn during the trip, you can say good bye to the nice tan because it will just peel off.
But anyways I hope you have an amazing time! I went to Jamaica in October, where are you arriving at? Ocho Rios? It's amazing!

i wouldnt, just because u will get SOOOO tan on ur cruise... usually you spend the first day travelling so u will be trapped on the boat with plenty of time to tan before u hit the beach. im not an expert because im already naturally dark but i do know when i go on cruises i get 4 shades darker within days and i was avoiding the sun!!. i guess it depends on how dark u plan on going.

It will help to make your skin wrinkle faster. Far better to use lots of sunscreen and tan slowly. Otherwise you will end up looking like Fergie, in a 20 year old's body, but with a 50 year olds complement of wrinkles on their face.
Very sad that.

Yes. Keep in mind that dermatologists clearly discourage it. You still need to use a high powered sunscreen, but you will be less likely to burn.
