If its not caused by an injury then I think you need to go and see a doctor about it.

Maybe your shoes or socks are too small?? Otherwise, althletes get black toenails quite alot from not only the pressure from their shoes but also from pressure from within their feet, i guess the blood cappillaires that are getting damaged from the hard work! But it sounds a bit weird... unless you have been doing a lot of running and sports you should go see a doctor, it might be something that needs a proper diagnosis!

Either injury or Fungal toenail infection. Don't touch it, as it can spread to all body parts that it touches. You could be very alkaline, you can test your ph with special paper strips. If you are alkaline, try reducing your alkaline forming foods/drinks such as alcohol & bananas (if you consume them). It is too late to use diet alone however, you will need to get it sorted by a doctor, he might give you some lacquer for it or maybe something better because if it is black then it is bad.

I saw something like that on tv just the other day. It actually just turned out to be a blood blister underneath the nail... if it looks blister-like.. have a go at bursting it with a sterile pin.

It sounds like a fungal infection. Try Xango juice as it is a natural anti-fungal. I had a fungal infection on both of my big toes and I was taking Xango juice for depression, I suddenly noticed one day that the fungal infection had gone and my nails were clear!

I just answered your other question on your bad temper.
Maybe you have... I don't know.
Just don't let your temper get the best of you.
