if they aren't interested in football, then I'd say let them do something they enjoy while the game is on. forcing them into watching it wouldn't be good for a relationship.

It is selfish of a female to not do some of the things that her man likes to do. Now on the other hand maybe she isn't watching a football game because she is afraid that once she does that you will think it's ok to watch your tv shows all day everyday. I have a guy friend and I never get to watch what I want to because he is always watching espn, basketball ,football, around the horn or PTI, I don't mind it cuz I love sports but there are times I would like to watch a movie or a tv show. I think as long as you make it fair that it should work itself out. But I feel if your with someone who won't watch what you want then they aren't worth your time because they are only worrying about themselves.

There's room for compromise in every relationship. Personally, if my husband were really into football, I would watch it with him, and try to learn about it so I could enjoy it as well. I've discovered many new interests that way -- for example, before I started dating him, I didn't see the point of video games -- now we play them together and we both have a really good time!
The important thing is that both people in the relationship are workign together. Spending time together is important to us, so we do things together, even if one of us isn't sure at first if we'll enjoy it. Cherish the time you spend together -- it won't last forever.

I guess that would be selfish if the man wanted the woman to watch with him........but do you REALLY want the woman to watch with you? Or do you just not want her to bug you during your watching of it? Do you really care if she's there or not? Can she do something else (and not make you feel guilty) and that would be fine with you? Or do you SERIOUSLY want her like INVOLVED and right there, all into the game WITH you? Because if you SAY that and then ignore her when she's right there and talk to the guys that are there instead.....that's YOU being selfish. :)

I think its YOU that are being selfish --- rather than paying attention to your so, youre watching a football game instead. Spoken like a woman? YEAH!

You know, if my husband were to ask me to watch it with him, I would. My husband, however; has no interest in watching it. So, we won't be watching it today.

For those of you who will be watching it - have fun.

If she's not into the game, I'd rather she not be there.
