That's something the bride and groom should pick together. I had a long list of songs me and my hubby liked but we ended up going with Shameless by Garth Brooks. It was our "high school sweetheart" song. Our first song that was played was "When I Said I Do", my husband's dad sang it for us after we said our vows. There's thousands of songs to choose from. The best song is the one that means the most to the bride and groom, regardless of what anyone else likes.

First this is a hard question... its got to be something special for you guys something that just makes her or maybe even your heart flutter...

Etta James - At Last
Shania Twain - From This Moment
Elton John - Something About the way
Elton Jonh - This is your song
Al Green - Let's Stay Together
Frank Sinatra - Just the way you look tonight

less traditional...
Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
R Kelly - Forever more

Anything about love and being together for the rest of your life... there are a million songs you could pick.. think outside the traditional box and pick something you both love... just try to stay away from songs like Juviniels back that thang up n youll be ok ...lol

I don't think anyone can answer this question for you. The song you choose for your first dance should be special to both of you. So why not get a bottle of wine and a takeaway, grab your combined CD collections and spend an evening together picking the perfect song.
This is also a relaxing way to spend time together amongst all the planning!

We used the song "To Make you Feel my love" from "Hope Floats", but some others we like are "Hopelessly Devoted to You" from Grease, and "I Finally Found Someone" by Barbara Streisand and Bryan Adams. The first dance is kind of a sappy song usually. It has to mean something to you both, though. Something you want to say to each other while holding each other close.

Always by Atlantic Starr...it's a pretty soppy song but the lyrics are quite nice and applicable for a bride and groom!

Lionel Richie's "Stuck on You."

Stuck On You
Lionel Richie

Stuck on you
I've got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose
Guess I'm on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed

I'm stuck on you
Been a fool too long I guess it's time for me to come on home
Guess I'm on my way
So hard to see
That a woman like you could wait around for a man like me
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed

Oh, I'm leaving on that midnight train tomorrow
And I know just where I'm going
I've packed up my troubles and I've thrown them all away
'Cause this time little darling
I'm coming home to stay

I'm stuck on you
I've got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose
Guess I'm on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
I'm mighty glad you stayed

Love song-pink

its an amazing song...i suggest you find a way to listen to it online or download it, looking up the lyrics just dont do justice. You have to hear the emotion in her voice.

Congrats!

How about "Can I have This Dance?". It's sung by Anne Murray if you don't remember it and want to look it up. I can't imagine a more perfiect song for the occasion.
