When in doubt, especially with chest pain, see your doctor.

There are lots of benign possibilities, such as hurt muscles,
other organs complaining (such as heart burn), but unless
you know better, there is a chance that the organ
complaining is your heart. This guy, you don't mess around
with.

As you grow older and experience more aches and pains,
you learn to disginquish one from another. For instance,
I frequently get pains that I used to think were angina
but turn out to be muscle strain due to an accident I had
awhile ago. How'd I figure this out?

Yup, I went to a doctor.

Depending on your age it could be a number of things. If you are having trouble breathing and/or you are having pain in your shoulder that radiats down your arm I would definitley see a doc asap!! If you think its heart burn I would take an otc antacid such as tums, prilosec, or rolaids. If the antacid provides relief I would change your diet and stay away from spicy, fried, dairy etc.

Feel Better!!

Depends on your age. It could be heartburn. Try taking an antacid like tums and see if that helps or some baking soda in water.

Your question is unfortunately too vague to answer. Without knowing your age, gender, lifestyle, the quality of the pain, the frequency and duration, what helps it/what worsens it and the precise location I can only suggest that you see your doctor.
