You get free soda and water, but you have to pay for anything aloholic. You also have to pay for your food, but they usually give you a small pack of food.

It depends who you are flying where with. Most international flights you only pay for champaign and even then not in first class. The lowest class domestic airlines won't give you anything much.
Some flights there's just no time, when I was in the UK at Christmas the internal flight was hardly at cruising altitude before they were descending, the 'meal service' only made it to about the 10th row on our A320.

It depends on the airline. The cheapest airlines (low-cost) do not offer any drinks, they are often called no-frills airline, providing the minimum to customers in order to keep the basic price low. Some other airlines may expect you to pay for some kind of drinks, but some cheap drinks (water, soda...) may be available for free but in restricted quantity (like on glass/bottle/can per person). Services on board may depend on the distance travelled. In short, you should check each company individually.

It depends on the airline. Some airlines give you free drinks, on others you have to pay for everything. Generally, the low cost carriers are the ones which charge for drinks.

It varies from one airline to another and sometimes on the same airline depending on the length of the flight.

Depends on the airline. I have read recently that some were going to start charging for everything you want on the plane.

As far as major airlines go (United, American, Delta, etc.), all water, soft drinks, coffee and tea are complimentary.
