My ex-girlfriend broke up with me about 2 months ago. She said she didn't have romantic feelings for me anymore but hoped we could remain friends. I basically told her that would not really be an option because we had dated for 6 years. In the past week she has called me almost every day, just to talk. I told her I missed her and she said that she missed me too. My question is would a girl call like that and say she missed me if she really only wanted to be friends, or is it a possibility she may be wanting to get back together and is not sure how to say it? Obviously no way to know for sure but maybe some ladies can provide some insight on the female mind!

If she wanted to get back together with you, she'd say it. It boosts her ego knowing you want her and she'll keep you around as a friend. She might like talking to you every day, but it doesn't mean she wants as you a boyfriend. I know it's hard, but try to forget about her and move on.

Women tend to be creatures who like comfort. This sounds to me like she is still communicating with you because she knows you well and she is comfortable with you. Six years is a really long time...it will take quite a while for both of you to adjust to one another's absence. If she broke up with you and has moved on, I doubt she's trying to get back together. I miss my ex and I've told him that, but that doesn't mean I want to date him again. When you spend that amount of time in a relationship, you are not only lovers, but you become friends too. So, it's a double whammy as you lose a friend and a b/f (or g/f). If her calling is getting to the point where it's too painful or confusing, just tell her that you need more space to start your healing process. There's nothing worse than being unsure about an ex! Your new mate might be right around the corner. :-)
I hope that helps!

Ya. It does not sound like she is interested in you in a relationship sense. She just wants your time and attention like as if she is your girl friend. If you don't like her taking up your time maybe tell her being friends isn't working out. If you don't mind.. then continue to talk to her and hang out with her but don't even think you have a chance.

maybe since you were together for so long your a habit in her life that she hasnt let go of so shes dependent on you.....being together for awhile spliting up is not like abracadabra, but maybe also its like she didnt know what shed miss until it[you]were gone....be the bigger person if you want and if you still want the relationship let her know how you feel and maybe it will be mutual if not you havent lost nothing you still have a friend,,,andif so.....you got the idea.....???????

Sounds like she might be a bit confused as to what she wants, she may want reassurance that you are still there for her, incase she falls on her face? not a very flattering view of us girls, but when it gets down to the insight it very rarly is lol

you can miss someone without wanting to date that person. Maybe, she's figuring things out, just give her some time.
